Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Origin - Tokyo (Night on Board)
Boarding and departure according to flight schedule (overnight on board).
Day 2: Tokyo
Arrival, assistance at Narita or Haneda airport, delivery of documentation and transfer to the hotel.
Day 3: Tokyo
Breakfast at the hotel. At the appointed time, meet in the lobby on the ground floor (1st floor of the hotel's main tower) to begin your half-day tour of Tokyo. We will visit Meiji Shrine, dedicated to the late Emperor Mutsuhito. Surrounded by a lush forest, it is one of the capital's most iconic landmarks. We will continue to the Imperial Palace Plaza (exterior view of the Palace), the former residence of the Japanese imperial family, Senso-ji Temple, the oldest religious building in the city and one of the most colorful and popular in the country, and Nakamise Street, where you can purchase souvenirs. This shopping street is one of the oldest in Japan, with origins dating back to the 17th century. We will conclude the tour in Ginza (return transfer to the hotel not included). Free afternoon. Overnight stay.
Day 4: Tokyo – Hakone - Tokyo
Breakfast at the hotel. We'll dedicate the day to visiting Hakone, a town famous for its natural hot springs. We'll begin the excursion with a boat trip on Lake Ashi, a truly unique experience. We'll continue by visiting Owakudani Valley, a volcanic valley with active sulfur vents and hot springs, the result of a volcanic eruption over 3,000 years ago. If we're lucky, we'll be able to admire views of Mount Fuji from both points. Lunch will be provided en route. We'll conclude our day by visiting the Hakone Open Air Museum. Return to the hotel. Overnight stay.
Day 5: Tokyo – Kyoto – Nara – Kyoto
Breakfast at the hotel. At the appointed time, transfer to Tokyo Station for your journey to Kyoto by bullet train. Upon arrival, we will travel to Nara, the political and religious heart of ancient Japan. We will visit Todai-ji Temple, entering through the imposing Nandaimon Gate and arriving at the colossal Buddha statue, a gigantic bronze sculpture that dominates the temple's main hall. We will take a stroll through Nara Park, famous for its deer. We will end our tour in the geisha district of Gion, where we will step back in time amidst its narrow, cobblestone streets lined with traditional wooden buildings adorned with lanterns and amulets. Return to Kyoto and transfer to your hotel. Overnight stay.
Day 6: Kyoto
Breakfast at the hotel. Today we will visit Kyoto. We will begin with Sanjusangendo Temple, home to a thousand unique statues of Kannon, the Buddhist goddess of mercy. We continue our visit to Fushimi Inari Shrine, where thousands of vibrant orange torii gates line the path to Mount Inari, creating a breathtakingly beautiful scene and one of the most iconic images in Japan. Afterward, we will visit Kinkaku-ji, the Golden Pavilion, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and Tenryu-ji Temple, where we will see its main attraction: the garden, one of the most beautiful and representative examples of traditional Japanese landscaping. Finally, we will visit the Sagano Bamboo Grove in Arashiyama, home to one of the most iconic plants in Japanese culture. Lunch will be at a local restaurant. Return to the hotel. Overnight stay.
Day 7: Kyoto
Breakfast at the hotel. Optional visit to Hiroshima and Miyajima, arriving by Nozomi bullet train. There, we will visit the Itsukushima Shrine on Miyajima Island, the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park and Museum, and the Atomic Dome. This area features a large memorial park with exhibits and buildings that pay tribute to the victims of the attack during World War II. Return to Kyoto by bullet train (return transfer to the hotel not included). Overnight stay.
Day 8: Kyoto - Origin
Breakfast at the hotel or picnic breakfast. At the appointed time, transfer to Kansai or Itami airport for your return flight to your home city. Overnight on board.
Day 9: Origin
Arrival and end of our services.
